BMEM Bio is a company that manufactures cost-effective, chemically defined, animal-origin free stem cell culture media and differentiation solutions.

How was BMEM Bio created?

Our founders published the breakthrough Stem Cell Reports paper “Nutritional Requirements of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells” identifying the essential components for the first specific induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) basal media. Since then, we have optimized our cell culture media to make it widely available for research purposes, and developed new applications for stem cell research. Our mission is to make your media and cell culture products as advanced as your science.

BMEM Bio products are robust, chemically defined, animal origin-free, and cost-effective solutions designed to keep cells healthy and ready for downstream applications. BMEM Pluripotent and BMEM Max kits were optimized to keep hiPSCs proliferative and pluripotent. While our cardiomyocyte collection presents a family of products for the differentiation hiPSCs into cardiomyocytes, and long-term culture of hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes.
