BMEM Bio products were born from the idea of designing tailor-made products and protocols to enhance stem cell culture. Our 2023 paper demonstrates this as we worked on identifying and titrating the components needed.

We study hiPSCs to understand what they need to grow and differentiate. Then, we "break the system" into smaller pieces that are studied in-depth, perturbed, and redesigned to enhance the desired process. For example, which levels of vitamins and amino acids provide faster growth for hiPSCs? Which concentration of growth factors allows for easier transition between media conditions? What is needed for room temperature stability/shipping?

BMEM Bio works continuously on these questions to have solutions that work for small and large scale applications, for beginners and experienced users.
